Scope

To combine residential housing, hobby riding facilities, a professional veterinary practice as well as a rehabilitation and physiotherapy centre for horses in a multifunctional riding facility. At the same time, however, the ability to use all four criteria independently, as required, must be preserved.
Overall framework for three of the areas
A private living area with stables, riding arena, therapy and rehabilitation centre with aqua trainer treadmill, lungeing arena, horse solarium, horse clinic with recovery stalls, operation theatre, x-ray rooms and laboratory. Exterior facilities: galloping track, therapy track, lungeing area, riding area, individual paddocks, group paddocks, pastures, various stall and stable facilities, muckheap, equipment and machinery storage, parking.
Stables
When ensuring that stables have the maximal amount of light, air and freedom of movement - and moreover, with a proven and cost-effective use of space tailored to your individual working practices - the planning phase is crucial.
Aqua trainer
  • Multiple training and therapy options
  • Relieving strain on the fore and hindquarters through regulable water levels
  • Simultaneous cooling and massage effects
  • Gentle building of muscles
  • Water current resistance system to increase workout effects
  • Mobile implementation (no building permit required)
  • Minimal water usage through recycling
Horse treadmill
Young horses can exercise and train still-developing bones without the strain of a rider while experienced horses are protected against injury during advanced training. The treadmill surface is flat and even, so by moving in a straight line, the strain normally caused to joints and tendons by taking curves is eliminated. The treadmill has a progressive suspension, is non-skid and thus is ideal for strengthening connective tissue and ensuring that muscles, ligaments and tendons are solidly strengthened. Balance and a smooth rhythm are promoted and strike off and ground coverage improved. The stable conditions (indoor) permit the methodological standardisation of criteria such as running speed, angle of gradient, breaks between the individual stages / levels, time when blood is drawn, etc.
Operating Theatre
Although not nice, it's sometimes necessary - and even life saving: With the aid of a hoist, the horse can be safely lifted out of its padded enclosure where anaesthesia is administered and delivered to the operating theatre.
